SCOTUSBlog

DC Environmental and Natural Resources Partner, Peter Glaser, was the Feb. 4 guest contributor on The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) Blog. The site is holding an online symposium on regulating greenhouse gas (GHGs) under the Clean Air Act. The Supreme Court will begin hearing oral arguments February 24 on the Environmental Protection Agency’s authority to determine that its regulation of GHG emissions from new motor vehicles triggered permitting requirements under the Clean Air Act for stationary sources that emit greenhouse gases. Peter’s guest editorial, “Can the EPA really rewrite a statute? Really?” explains why the CAA is ill-suited for addressing greenhouse gas emissions. To read more on Peter’s contribution, click here.
